About Matters of the H.E.A.R.T

Founded in 2005, Matters of the H.E.A.R.T. Conference was formed for women to join in Healing, Encouragement, and Rejoicing Together.

It was created for women in all walks of life and is designed to enlighten and empower women with tools that will enable them to walk in daily victory. Gatherings host activities ranging from worship services to workshops and spa days.

These diverse events serve as a catalyst for building hope and bringing healing for women who are silently or outwardly dealing with emotional pain stemming from unresolved issues, unmet needs or unhealed hurt which stifles the ability to give or receive love. 

A few years after the conference started, it was in the heart of the Founder, Lady DeAngeloa Wells, to add a special component for Pastor’s wives to speak to their individual and unique needs. In 2010, she established a feature that offers a safe, private space created especially for members of this, sometimes forgotten, group to come together with like-minded women to be supported, uplifted and inspired through tools, encouragement and relationships.

Women who have attended Matters of the H.E.A.R.T. events attest to feeling uplifted and inspired. Others proclaim renewed passion through discovery of a new sense of purpose and destiny.

Meet our Founder — Lady DeAngeloa Wells

Passionate about seeing the kingdom come, Lady DeAngeloa annually hosts city-wide conferences and events that minister to the unique needs of women, while encouraging them to become the person that God intends them to become in all aspects of their lives.

She is both an accomplished professional and a “people person”. As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, she blends her natural talents and spiritual gifts to help build women and bring healing to those who have experienced brokenness. Her desire is to see women overcome issues, trauma and debilitating emotions and obtain healing and wellness in every area of their lives. She also has a heart for supporting the wives of Pastor’s and Ministry Leaders.

Lady DeAngeloa is the wife of Bishop C.T. Wells, her husband of 39 years. Together they have two beautiful, adult daughters Chastity Palmer and Ashlei Tellis, who are married and serve in ministry with their husbands.
